Pure Hemlock MulchHemlock Mulch is the most popular mulch in New England. The basics of landscape design is to provide contrast. Therefore the natural color of Hemlock Mulch stands out, providing contrast to a building of a more muted color. Because this mulch will pull your eye out across the landscape, Hemlock Mulch has a tendency to make a property appear larger than it is. Hemlock Mulch, like other hard wood mulches easily stays where it is laid.
Our Hemlock Mulch is 100% organic. It is a softly shredded mulch that is a beautifully natural reddish-brown color. It will not noticeably fade over the course of one year.

Often times, mulch that is labeled as "Hemlock" is manufactured with glass, wood pallets, Pine Bark and anything else that got thrown into the mulch pile. It is then dyed a reddish color to look like Hemlock. This dyed mulch will leave red stains on your hands as you lay it around your landscape. The dye will then quickly fade after sitting in the sun and rain, and you'll be left with white chips and faded mulch. Our mulch is 100% organic Hemlock and will never stain your hands. After a year of sitting on your lawn, you'll see your mulch has hardly faded.
Also available: Aged Hemlock Mulch, when in stock, is Hemlock Mulch that has decomposed slightly before being sold, so it is slightly darker in color than regular Hemlock.
